South Florida lending a helping hand to Puerto Ricans impacted by Hurricane Fiona. The storm dumping nearly three feet of rain on some parts of the island with more than a million residents still without power. Members of the Miami-Dade Fire Urban Search and Rescue unit have deployed to the island. Doral's Global Empowerment Mission says it's sending relief including food and hygiene supplies, generators and water purifiers. Hurricane Fiona is forecast to pass near Turks and Caicos over the next few hours with maximum sustained winds of more than 100 MPH The current forecast track keeps Fiona away from the US east coast.
